As a result of discovery of thousands of exoplanets including dozens
of habitable small planets, searching for a life in the universe
attracts more attention. The Astrobiology center (ABC) of Natural
Institute of Natural Sciences (NINS), established in 2015, aims to
advance this field with the mission of "Exploring exoplanets and life
there" and to promote the multi-discipline astrobiology field that
includes astrophysics, biology, geophysics, chemistry and so on.
For this aim, ABC supports astrobiology researches by two kinds
of grants-in-aid programs: the “Project” (one year) program and
the“Satellite” (three years) program. In order to present the latest
results of these two programs to the community, we will host the 6th
workshop on "Life in the Universe".
We encourage attendance of not only the researchers involved
in the programs but also those interested in the astrobiology in general.
